 » Op: Shadow Fox - North Salem IN [06-13-06 @ 00:11]
OP: Shadow Fox In the early hours the 15th of July, 2006, in the remote countryside of Russia, a top secret military instillation known only as “Shadow Fox” was infiltrated by a small unit of heavily armed and very well trained men, possibly foreign Special Ops. It is believed these armed vigilantes belong to a rebel group hell-bent on the destruction of the current Russian government. It is rumored this group is funded by several foreign Heads of States that wish to rid Russia of its current state of world-wide influence in affairs. It is reported the rebels stole a large cache of small arms, important military documents, and most frightening- a biochemical warhead containing a silent killing nerve agent potent enough to kill every man, woman, and child in Moscow; This appears to be the motive behind the attack. Regardless of who is funding this group, they must be crushed before it is too late. There is a time for questions, but now is the time for action. This will be a 12 hour MilSim game. Starts at 11 AM, ends at 11 PM (11:00 to 23:00 hours). Eating/reloading will be done out in the field. All participants are required to have on them a FRS radio (walkie-talkie) and a flashlight. The required waiver MUST be signed, and under 18 will need to be signed by parents. This will be a joint *EMS* and I.M.C.O. hosted game. Location/Date: *EMS* field in North Salem, Indiana, on July 15th, 2006. Fee: The fee is $10.00 After talking with BDW we decided that "out-of-state" players will have their entrance fee waived.

 » Recap of OP: 201 in Springfield [01-15-06 @ 16:58]

Well, it certainly turned out to be a great event even with threats of bad weather and equipment problems. Brian, Enlgand, and I showed up about 8am at the field and it was 29 degrees with 20 knots of wind and we were the first ones there. That concerened us a little but the strikers and about 20 some others finally showed. As for equipment probelms, Huey´s brand new 249 had issues from the start and frank ended up letting him use his m4. I opend my back up sr-16 to put a new hop up in and discovered the gear box was cracked in half! England´s brand new G&G m16a3 stripped its bevel gear a while back and we still have not been able to replace it.

However, we still kicked ass. Brian found himself right in the middle of endless firefights and dishing it out 86th style. England got the gold star for the day for playing all day only with his sigma and killing enough people for them to be asking what kind of pistol he has and is it shooting 500fps.... also for a sniper pistol shot he got 1/2 way through the 2nd senario...very bad ass. Huey seemed to enjoy shedding his medic role and getting into the thick of it too. I of course had fun terrorizing people with my SJR ( sex junkie reborn ) and low crawling through the mud with bb´s flying over my head. Plus the weather warmed up a bit and the sun came out later in the day. Nice job by frank of running and organizing the event, it turned out to be alot of fun. Thanks to those that showed up.

also, let me know if anyone is interested in this.....looks like fun to me, check it out at http://www.airsoftcleveland.com/safaristrike.htm

 » Recap of fran bar event [12-12-05 @ 23:06]

Thanks to all that showed up to play, I thought it was alot of fun. Nice to see Alex again and doing so well ( 25+ kills ). Also, England didn´t hesitate to fit right in with us in combat and performed very well for his first event. We also learned a few things: Always charge all avaible batteries that you own, cold weather really kills battery life, and we suspect is hard on those plastic hop ups. I had some fun dodging Frank´s sniper rounds and putting my new gun to the test with adam´s 12volt battery....=:-)....I want one now, if you think a 9.6 is fast....just imagine my old sex junkie r.o.f. only now shooting 420+fps....scary.

 » Finally... RSS! [10-05-05 @ 21:23]

Not like everyone wanted it, but i´ve got the news flowing through an RSS feed now ;)

Some updates, JB and Roy are back from their vacations in iraq (mmm 130 degrees).  We´re still going to be doing some work on the CQB place, and its a posibility that the facility will indeed be ran by an airsoft retailer (there would be staff / retail site, etc) so thats kinda exciting.  Anywho, in the mean time we´ll need to do some work on the field and finalize that list for the SWAT training.  Hopefully after we get pics of the bus and the completed facility, we´ll get the stuff up on arnies.

 » Update on the CQB Place [09-24-05 @ 11:43]

So far we have a good idea of the floorplan we´re going for at the shoot house (cqb place in kettering).  We (Jebus, Huey, and myself) picked up 100 (well 96 actually, dont ask) 2x4´s and framed the perimiter of the house.  I´ll get some more pics of that up soon.  Now that we have the structure standing, we´ll have to go snap some lines down and bolt the wall sections into the concrete after we square it all up.

A new game should be coming around shortly, i´m guessing mid october.  Also the swat training is coming up soon, please help get the word out for that as it will help people a ton and prepare them for the exhibition style games we´ll be having this winter.

On that note, we´re discussing doing a joint event, hosting CM III here.  I think our goals and the location should be very condusive of such an event so its quite likely to go through without a problem.  It would likely be a 2 day event with raffle and prizes.

For those of you who dont know, there is a new addition to the shoot house coming soon, Jeff will be moving a full size "functional" school bus (only thing wrong with it is lack of transmission).  So, any scenarios you can think of involving a schoolbus, please feel free to post them in the forum :)

Last note, we´re also looking for team banners to hang along the scaffolding.  I feel that it will give a profesional feel to the place, and at least spruce up the otherwise industrial look.  The fake storefronts will need signs from combatdepot, airsoft arms, etc, however it looks like we are already covered as far those go.

Heres the floorplan we´re looking at, for future reference.  The measurements of the workout area, bay doors, and the initial house are exact, the outer perimiter of the second building (office / school) is exact, however the placement is a somewhat rough guestimate, and the fake storefronts havent been constructed yet.  Any comments are welcome oh and yes, we will probably be slimming the hallway of the second building, its pretty huge as of now.

 » 8-27 AAR´s [08-29-05 @ 12:14]
well this game went pretty good, we learned some things and noticed some things that will definitally change the way we do our next event.  Overall we definitally acheived our goal of providing a more realistic simulation oriented event rather than a paintball team vs team event.  Many more details will be in mine and hueys AAR

 » 86th CQB game 8-27 [08-23-05 @ 12:38]

Ok I´m hosting a game on saturday the 27th.  Anyone that wants to help organize, play as opfor, or watch, give me a call  I currently need people to help film, I need ANY AV equipment you have, the more the better.  Also I need radios, and some other stuff, just give me a call if you want to help in any way.  Pretty soon we´ll be doing this regularly and will need some regular volunteers.  Game details are here followed by the thread on ao.

For those of you who dont know, we extended an invitation to Huey to join the 86th since he´s played with us before and been a great player as well as an overal nice guy to have around.  His info is on the profile page, which btw has been updated QUITE a bit.  So go check out Hueys profile and if you want to get your profile up to date, let me know so i can set you up with the login to the admin page.

 » Results from Op: Revolution [11-28-04 @ 22:48]

It was a pleasure to see a few of the northern crew come stir the shit up with the Dayton boys.  Thanks for everyone coming out and giving it your best too.  It looks like we´ll have a pretty solid impact on the scenario for the future ops, which is something to brag about.  Make sure to reference the Airsoftohio.com forums for updates as well as our own forums.

Let´s do it again soon, and don´t forget the beer for after the game! 8-)

 » Game, nov 20th [10-15-04 @ 21:08]

We need a head count for people going to operation revolution, frank tells me this is the prequel to the next big game, the sequel to blind fury 2, so consider this blind fury 1.5.  Now I know you guys havent been to the field since the immense work done to it so i suggest we all take this opportunity to play at an awesome field.  Not only an awesome field but an expertly mapped field, a local field, and with great props for ONLY $15.  Franks personally asked that we attend and lately our team appearances havent been what they used to be (i´m not pointing fingers here ;) everyone gets busy now and then).  So what I need is a yay or nay for everyone showing up, so far we have me in, aim me or email me.  BTW, there will be alot of people there for those who wondered.
