If you want your profile retained, email me via my profile page and it will be retained. As well, we will be merging all active players into one category, and removing the subdivisions of the team. All, this site has been dormant for too long. The 86th is alive, killing, and growing. We have new members that need to be added and old ones that are going to be deleted due to inactivity. Please feel free to email me at Poorman180@gmail.com if you are an inactive member but want to stay on the site. Only the 2nd TAT will remain and will be changed to just the 86th since the 86th only runs in Toledo and Springfield. Check us out on Airsoftohio.com if interested.

Also, the next event is Springfield on May 9th. It is a 200 series event and we are going to be 3 color desert. It is on AO on the home page. I already put us down for being there. Any questions let me know.

So, here it is ... ]]> Blind Fury V (9.6.08) http://www.86th.org/ Here´s all the basic information on the event. You have almost 10 months warning, so no excuses for missing this one!

In 2007, the Tropico Army´s undefeated streak came to a sudden end. Coalition Forces, with the help of the militia, destabilized Tropico defenses and took control of New Tropicos capitol city. 2008 will tell us if the Coalition Forces can keep the momentum going or Tropicos will take back what is theirs.

Without giving away to many details, here are a few of the rules.

- HIGH CAPS will not be allowed for this event.

- A mix of medic and respawn will be used.

- Be ready to do recon/search/recovery.

- Be ready to carry equipment/players.

- Radio will be a must.

- 14 years old and up. Players below 18 will need to be vouched.

- Camouflage will be divided between OD and TAN based patterns (about 12 different patterns total).

- Role players will be needed. Keep in mind they might have to trade trigger time for some more "civil" duties.

- Price discount for group registration

- Price penalty for late registration.



Minimum Engagement Distance

25ft 400fps to 449fps

50ft 450fps to 499fps

75ft 500 fps to 549fps

125ft 550 fps and up



FPS Limits

0 - 400 All Aegs

0 - 450 All support weapons

0 - 500 Semi auto weapons (full auto permanently disabled)

0 - 600 Bolt Action only (reserved to 18yrs+)



Goggles: All person in the playing zone need to wear Goggle or paintball mask with a minimum rating of ANSI 87.1 2003 The Mask/Goggle needs to be sealed against your face so no bbs can get in. It must be a rigid lens (i.e. no ski goggles allowed). Shooting/ Hardware glasses are not allowed. Mesh goggles not allowed.

The event will be held from 9am to 6pm and will be played on both West and/or East side. The field consists of hills, creeks, valley and buildings. We also have a landing strip now

Looks like we´ll be heading down to the field Friday afternoon/early evening and camp out for the night. Cost is $5 per person, per night. Lastly, if any of you have large tents and card tables (to put all the guns on while we gear up), let me know ASAP. Looks like we´ll be heading down around 6ish.

I´ve stepped up to the Platoon Leader Position and told the CO he can put us pretty much wherever he needs us. With our knowledge and expertise of the field (as well as the knowledge and expertise of our CO), we will be a force to be reckoned with. With less than a month away until the event, extensive planning is underway to ensure our success at this event. We are calling it Operation: Take Down Reloaded (Cliche I know, but fun of course), and will be held on January 20th and 21st, 2007. This event will be one of the largest CQB events in the history of Airsoft and we are treating it as such. After testing the waters last weekend and learning from out mistakes we are going to run this one similar to Northern Wind. We have set up a forum for Red Dawn Airsoft and have put all of the information regarding the event on the forum. We have also set up DHS and POD Forums. Once you preregister for the event and choose a team you will be given permission to access your teams forum to start planning your attack with your fellow team mates.
